ATTN TUMBLR HORSE LOVERS!

The following horse is at the end of the New Holland Auction pipeline and needs a home before he is shipped to Canada:

  • 9-25-19-489 - Standardbred “Capt Silverheels”
    Freezebrand XF140

If you are interested in adoption or can sponsor a horse please go here.  If not please reblog!

UPDATE! This is CAPT SILVERHEELS - then and now - a harness racehorse that has won $190K in his career . He is an Indiana Sire Stakes Champion who still holds a record for 3 year old pacers. He needs urgent help - we are in touch with some connections but his main owner passed away and we are working with his estate, so please BE RESCPECFUL! Please help this wonderful horse - make a donation, sponsor - share his plight. We have a breed specific rescue standing as the last resort.

So this is going to be my first time adopting a horse from a shelter. Usually my trainer goes to auctions but this boy has caught my eye and I cannot wait to meet him. He’s just so beautiful and stunning. Does anyone know anything about shelter horse behavior?
